About us
The Department of Child and Adolescent Health and Development (CAH) envisions a world in which children and adolescents enjoy the highest attainable standard of health and development, a world that meets their needs, as well as respects their rights, enabling them to live to their full potential.
Our goal
In line with the relevant Millennium Development Goals, by 2015, CAH aims to reduce the rate of infant and child mortality by two thirds from the 1990 rate; to promote physical and mental health of adolescents; and to reduce by 25% HIV prevalence among young people aged 15-24 years by 2010.
